Make the Cut Video Tutorial - Designing Custom Word Window Cards

Welcome to the first video in my Make the Cut! Projects Tutorial Series. This video shows you how to create a word window card with a scalloped edge. Use any word or phrase you like, and any shape of scallop to create a one-of-a-kind card.

Plus, now you can find all my video tutorials in one easy spot. Just visit the Video Tutorials page to find a list of the Make the Cut! Basics and Make the Cut! Projects videos I have available. New videos will be added on a regular basis. And if you have any requests for a video tutorial showing a particular technique or type of project in Make the Cut!, please leave me a comment and let me know. Thanks!

  2. I need help, when I go to do words on my mat I cannot resize the letters. There is no numbers on the right hand side to change. What am I doing wrong, I am having a really hard time learning this program and I know everyone says it is so easy. You have to understand the one's that are computer challenged we need to see how to do it
    Can you help me??

  3. There is no way to choose a font size in Make the Cut like you would in word processing software. In order to resize something, you need to to use the resizing handles on the corners. I have a video on the Video Tutorials page called "Rotating, Resizing and Skewing Shapes in Make the Cut!" that explains exactly how to resize any item, including text.

  4. Thank you, I did watch your video, I watched scrappy dew and it shows on his mat where sizes could be changed, it was located on the right side of the mat under the padlock and "eye". Hope this makes sense

  5. Nancy if you do Control "Q" the box comes up where you can change the size on your images or your fonts.

  6. Good to know, I'm obviously still learning too! :-) Also, if you click on the View menu, you can access the same dialog box, by clicking on Sel. Prop. Bar (otherwise known as Selection Properties).
