Here's the full tree. I covered an artificial tealight candle for the base, and rolled some light cardboard into a tube for the tree trunk, then covered it with jute. Before assembling the tree, I brushed the rosettes with a little Peeled Paint Distress ink, and spritzed them with Dew Drop Glimmer Mist for a little holiday shimmer. I also used little pieces of straw between each layer of the tree to separate them a bit more.
For the topper, I tied three little jingle bells together with red string, tied the string in a couple bows and then hot glued the bells to the top of the tree.
And of course, due to the irresistible bells and string, I had a little company when I was trying to take pictures of my tree. :-)
Happy Holidays everyone!
This is really cool!! And I love your inquisitive pal, too! :)
ReplyDeleteMy cats do the same thing. As soon as I start taking photos of projects, up on the desk they jump. Love the tree!
